Scholarship Coverage:

Gates Cambridge Scholarship encompasses full Cambridge study expenses including tuition fees, maintenance allowance (£20,000 for 12 months based on 2023-24 rate; prorated for courses under 12 months), up to 4 years of funding for Ph.D. scholars, single economy airfare at start and end of the course, inbound visa costs, and Immigration Health Surcharge.

Additional funding is available for academic development, family support, fieldwork, etc.

You qualify for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship if you are:

• Not a UK citizen. • Applying for full-time residential study in courses: PhD (full-time or part-time*), MSc, MLitt (full-time), or one-year full-time postgraduate course (with exceptions, see list).

Application Process:

Applications open on September 4, 2023.

Applicants submit admission and funding applications (Gates Cambridge and other funding) via the University’s Graduate Application Portal. Complete the admission and Gates Cambridge funding sections to be considered.

Two application deadlines: October 11, 2023 (for US citizens in the USA), and December 5, 2023, or January 4, 2024 (depending on the course) for other eligible applicants.
